From: Meetings with the Master
“Lord, I want to serve You. What can I do? What can I give You that I haven’t already laid at Your feet?”
There are many things, little one, that you will do for Me.
Show me, Lord.
Whatever you do for others, you have done for Me. Do you want to feed Me? Feed the hungry in the world. Do you
want to show Me your love? Show it to others in My name. Do you understand?
Yes, Lord. I must see You in them.
*****
Lord, I want to be beautiful for You. How can I be who You want me to be?
You are beautiful to Me just as you are. However, until now, the world has shaped you. If you allow it, I will
reshape you. You will be slowly recreated into a vessel which I can use.
I can’t believe how thrilled that makes me feel, Lord. I want to be used by You. You are the Potter, the Creator. Please re-form me into something You can use.
The reshaping is not always easy; nor is it always painless. You must offer total submission to My will. The more
malleable the clay, the easier the reshaping.
I accept the pain that comes with Your work in me, Lord. I can’t promise to like it, though.
I promise you, child, that you will like the results.
******
I am Yours, Lord. So why am I afraid?
Fear is a natural result of sin, child. You have sinned, and therefore you fear.
I’m so sorry, my Lord. Please, forgive me. It was a stupid mistake.
Of course I forgive you. I love you. But I will not release you from the natural consequences of your sin.
Go with me, Lord, please, as I try to right the wrong I’ve done.
I am always with you, my child.
